Our first big project in the city! Taylor and I are teaming up with Shervin Lainez to make a commercial for a company who sells eyeglasses! (For anyone else who would like to hire us, Taylor shoots and I edit/animate **shameless plug ending now**).
Shervin is an amazing NYC photographer who has shot everyone in the New York music scene from Ra Ra Riot, Ingrid Michelson, Charlene Kaye (of course), and Regina Spektor. We’re super excited to be working with him!
Check out his website here:

I spent the better part of my day doing some test animation for the commercial.
For lack of real test footage, I had to use this basketball player whose head shot was conveniently a 1920 x 1080 frame size. It’s too bad I don’t know who he is, because I think he makes a really great model for hipster eyewear…

YAY!!! Go to my YouTube channel and maybe I’ll make like, two cents!
Pat does another interview! Check it out ^
I worked with Eli Yudin my junior year of college on this really silly video (he’s the salesman), so I guess you could say that I still support all of his glorious acting talents.
Click here to listen to the second episode of my Hey How Are Ya? podcast where I talk with stand up comedian and University of Michigan senior Eli Yudin about the art of comedy, why we hate getting voicemails, what makes a greet tweet, and a whole lot more.
NEW YORK! I recorded this a while ago for fun, but it seems right that I put it up now that I’ve officially moved to the city. I guess it was a long time coming. Hooray Sinatra!
I was interviewed by Pat Stansik as, “hopefully someone worth talking to…” on his first podcast, “Hey How Are Ya?” Hopefully we’re entertaining! It’s going up on iTunes soon, but here it is for your listening pleasure. Look out for more of Pat’s stuff. He’s gonna hit it big this year!

Great write up by Pat for Inside Lacrosse. I find myself lucky in that I have one love, and that I’ve known exactly what I’ve wanted to do with my life for a while. But I do find someone like Mr. Stansik who has two totally different, but equally burning passions fascinating. One thing’s for sure. He’s a great writer so I hope he keeps doing it! Also— I did a podcast interview with him that’s coming as soon as we get some album artwork done!

Check out my final blog post for Inside Lacrosse.
This is a super oldie, but goodie. I remember watching this back in the day and thinking to myself, “THIS IS SO CREATIVE.” Years later, I’m glad to find that I still feel that way. I forget to cite “Precious Illusions” as one of my absolute favorite music videos. Oh Alanis, you made me a WOMAN.

Taylor (producer of the Human Music Video & my new roommate) and I drove this bad boy from Michigan to New York City. We now live in Chinatown (perfect!) in the middle of Manhattan. Can’t wait to start working and meet up with all my friends in the city!
LET’S MAKE SOME MAGIC!
I took a road trip across the country with my best friends Crystal and Taylor. It was really exciting, and nerdily cinematic for three post grad kids to take a car and drive towards the mythical West. I’m really glad that I got to do it before the big move to New York/adulthood. And yes, it may seem counterintuitive to drive in the opposite direction of my next destination, but we needed to take the car back! We saw a bunch of cities, crashed on the couches of friends all over the country, and had a lot of hopeful, optimistic conversations about the future and what we want out of life.

On top of this, we listened to, and shared a lot of music. One thing that driving West will always remind me of, is the Easy Rider soundtrack. You can’t really drive to Arizona and not listen to “The Weight” by The Band.
AND fortuitously, I get to plug one of my really good friends Drew De Four. He is an Ann Arbor based musician. Here’s a fantastic performance captured by your very own Paper Frame Productions— When I was a junior, I produced/edited this studio concert for him at Big Sky Recording, and this was hands down my favorite moment of the night.
So kiddies, I’d recommend that everyone take an epic road trip with good people after college, listen to “The Weight” by either The Band or Drew De Four, and drive towards your figurative FUTURE!
Thoughts and prayers go out to Andy Krazat.
The women of my family have this funny thing about taking pictures of the meals we make and sending them to the other women in my family with a detailed description of exactly what it is. After getting yet another text, I thought it would be funny to demonstrate:
MOMMA:
TEXT 1: I get an email from my mom titled, “My colorful lunch!” Red and yellow tomatoes with mozzarella cheese and balsamic vinegar.

TEXT 2: “Try my salad. Cucumbers mango shrimps n sweet onions n cilantro….bec I don’t trust most shrimps coming in from Asia, I actually use smoked salmon or cod or chicken or beef… Fabulous!!!”

CHAR:
TEXT 1: ”I’m cooking with Garrett!! Salmon with lemon, cilantro and paprikia, sauteed eggplant and broccoli!!”

TEXT 2: ”My dinner- quinoa with toasted almonds, cranberries, buffalo mozzarella, apples and lentils!”

ME:
TEXT 1: ”Look at my snack!!” Salmon, spinach, reduced-guilt woven wheat wafers, hummus and tea!

TEXT 2: Mac n’ Cheese and green beans! (A little less healthy than my snack)

TEXT 3: Home made apple pie!
